| Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik l inaugurated the three-day event which saw the participation from the Utkal Chambers of Commerce and Industry [UCCI], XIMB, IIT Bhubaneswar and IPICOL among others. Between Dec 18 to 20 more than 50 potential investors was from the USA’s Silicon Valley, Taiwan, Japan, Israel, UK and Spain along with a number of non-resident Indians and Oriyas interacted with local entrepreneurs to explore possibilities for business partnerships in the areas of infrastructure, tourism, power and clean technology, agri and food processing, higher education and Information Technology. |
| Retired Chief Secretary of the state Sahadev Sahoo presided over the pravasi odia diwas on 20th Decemeber. Silicon Valley visionary Dr. Prabhu Goel, TiE Angels founder Venk Shukla, representatives of Japan External Trade Organisation, Prakash Bhalerao, SS Lin of Taiwan based Amwon Corporation, CEO of JAFCO Sunny Sugaya were among the high profile guests to grace the occasion. Padmashri Rabi Narayan Bastia and CMD of Central Bank S Sridhar were among the eminent persons who addressed the gathering. |
